Misericordia University women’s soccer standout Julia Beck, of Langhorne, has been named the 2023 NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Academic All-American of the Year by the College Sports Communicators.
A defender, Beck was a first-team Academic All-American and was named third-team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches.
She anchored a defense that allowed just 17 goals and 3.3 shots on goal per match in 2023. She was also a scoring threat and tallied 11 goals and dished out five assists for 27 points.
Beck is a junior with a perfect 4.0 GPA as a psychology major in MU’s physical therapy doctoral program.
Misericordia finished 16-4-1 and won its third straight MAC Freedom championship while advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
